J'Agree ("J'Agree", "we", "us") is an informational agreement-intelligence and decision-support product, operated by an individual and not by a corporation or other registered company. J'Agree helps you understand agreements you choose to add. It is not a law firm and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.
This policy explains what information J'Agree handles on our website and iPhone app, why, and the choices you have.
Email address. Used to create and sign in to your account, for account messages such as confirmation and password reset, and to deliver email reminders if you turn them on. Your password is stored only in hashed form by our sign-in service.
User ID. An identifier assigned to your account so that your agreements, reminders and other records are associated with you and only you.
Photos. Photos or screenshots of agreements you choose to take or select. J'Agree reads the text in photos on your own device; the photo is stored privately with your account so you can view the source later.
Other user content. Agreements and documents you upload (such as PDF and Word files) or paste, the text read from them, names you give agreements, questions you ask, actions you describe, and the results J'Agree creates for you — summaries, key terms, quoted clauses, dates, obligations and their completion status, reminders, comparisons and saved searches.
We also keep a count of AI features you use, with the type of action and time, to apply daily usage limits. It does not contain your agreement text.
Content you provide may be sensitive. Agreements can contain personal, financial, employment, health or other sensitive details. J'Agree does not seek out these categories; they are present only if they appear in content you choose to add. Please only add documents you have the right to share.
J'Agree does not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers or analytics about how you use the app.
We use your information only to provide J'Agree's features: extracting important terms; identifying obligations, dates and deadlines; identifying payments, restrictions, renewals, cancellations, fees and other conditions when present; answering your questions about an agreement; explaining agreement language in plain language; tracking obligations; sending reminders you set; comparing a planned action with your agreement; and keeping your account working and secure.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
When you analyze an agreement, ask a question, check a planned action or compare versions, the agreement's text, its name and your question or described action are sent through our servers to an AI model (provided by OpenAI, accessed through Lovable's AI service) to generate the response. Original files and photos themselves are not sent to the AI model. Reminders, account details and usage counts are not sent to it.
J'Agree shows the agreement's own wording separately from its explanations, which are labeled "J'Agree Explanation." Quotes are checked against your document word for word; quotes that cannot be found are labeled or removed.
AI-generated explanations are informational decision-support. They can be incomplete or wrong, are not legal advice, and do not create an attorney-client relationship.
If you turn on email reminders, J'Agree sends them to your account email address through the J'Agree notification service. A reminder email contains only what is needed to deliver it: the agreement name, the obligation or reminder title, the due date, the reminder timing and links back to J'Agree. It does not contain your agreement's text or quotes. You can turn email reminders off in your Alerts settings.
Browser and app notifications are shown by your own device.
J'Agree does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking. Your browser or app stores only what is technically necessary: your sign-in session, and analyses you have not yet saved.
The website and app load all of their own styling, fonts and icons from J'Agree itself. The on-device photo-reading tool loads its files from jsDelivr. That service receives your device's IP address when its files load, but no agreement content.
Your agreements and related records are private to your account. Access rules on our database allow only the signed-in owner to read or change them, and original files are shown back to you only through short-lived private links.
We rely on service providers to run J'Agree: Lovable (hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, email delivery and AI access) and OpenAI (AI model). They process information on our behalf to provide the service.
We may disclose information if required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted connections, private file storage, owner-only access rules and keeping service keys on our servers rather than in the app. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
You can delete any saved agreement from its page, which removes its files, extracted text, findings, dates, obligations, reminders and related questions and checks.
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page in J'Agree. Deletion is designed to remove your account and its associated J'Agree data — agreements, original files, extracted text, findings, reminders, questions, checks, comparisons, saved searches and usage records — according to J'Agree's deletion process. Emails already delivered remain in your inbox.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, which can include access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, data portability, and withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent. Not every right applies in every location.
Many of these you can exercise directly in J'Agree — viewing, editing and deleting your agreements, and deleting your account. For other requests, contact us as described below.
